Creating a Workspace That Inspires, Educates, and Connects

The Leverage office, designed by Teruhiro Kataoka, is not just a place to work but also a space for learning and socializing. Inspired by the company's commitment to continually inspire its customers, the concept for the office is set to "WOW!" The design aims to create an environment that captivates and energizes both employees and visitors.

The welcome zone sets the tone for the entire office with its illuminated blue and red LED lights, representing calmness and passion. The centerpiece of the welcome zone is a three-dimensional hole in the wall, symbolizing the company's expansion through obstacles. This unique feature immediately captures the attention of guests and creates a memorable first impression.

One of the standout features of the Leverage office is its multifunctionality. It serves as a training facility for learning about health, complete with a YouTube studio equipped with training equipment and a seminar room. The seminar room transforms its appearance from day to night, offering a versatile space for different activities. At night, a bar corner opens up, providing an opportunity for employees to unwind and socialize.

The design also incorporates innovative elements that enhance the overall experience. The hallway floor features a stripe pattern that extends up onto the glass of the meeting room. Covered with a special rainbow-color film, the stripes change expression as people walk by, creating a dynamic and visually captivating effect.

Environmental sustainability was a key consideration in the design process. To create a variety of atmospheres with minimal energy consumption, a lighting system that can freely change colors was implemented. The walls of the meeting room are painted with an environmentally and health-friendly special paint. Additionally, the design team reused materials such as steel pipes for the bar counter and custom lighting from the previous office, reducing the project's environmental impact.

The Leverage office spans an impressive floor area of 407.2 square meters. The project took place from November 2021 to March 2022 in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Throughout the design process, the team faced challenges in creating a three-dimensional hole in the welcome wall. Through meticulous study and craftsmanship, they successfully brought this unique feature to life.

The Leverage office, with its innovative design and multifunctional spaces, sets a new standard for office interiors. It not only provides a conducive work environment but also fosters learning, creativity, and social connections. Teruhiro Kataoka's design for the Leverage office was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its outstanding creativity and contribution to improving quality of life.
